U.S. Congressman. He graduated from the College of Commerce Ohio, did graduate work at the University of Cincinnati and during World War I, he served as a Private in the U.S. Army. After the war, he was district controller of a food distributing company at Philadelphia, (1920-24), president of the Hamilton City Council, (1926-28) and a member of the Ohio State House of Representatives, (1937-38, 41-42). In 1945, he was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-ninth Congress, serving until 1947. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he was a public accountant until his death at age 52.
