HORACE STOSKOPF: It was a large concourse of sorrowing relatives & friends who congrega-ted at the ME church in Belden on Sunday afternoon [11-24] to attend the funeral service for Horace Stoskopf, the pastor of the Congregational church at New London officiating. Horace Stoskopf was born 26 Feb 1906 in Dayton OH & came with his parents to GraftonTwp when a year old where he lived until 4 years ago when the Stoskopf family moved to New London; but he had been employed in Elyria the past several months. Horace was a young man of sterling quality & esteemed by all who knew him. He died in Eaton Wednesday night [11-20] at the age of 23yrs, 8mos, 27dys.
He leaves besides his parents Mr&Mrs Richard Stoskopf, 2 sisters: Mrs Norma Goodman & Donna Stoskopf & a little nephew.
The pallbearers at the funeral rites were Clyde & Lester Shuster, Paule Moehle, Ewald Jantz, Elno Stoskopf & Ray Smith. Interment was made in Belden cemetery.
Several were present from Valley City, Elyria, New London, Akron, Cleveland & Detroit MI.
