CLARENCE A FLEW: 82, of South Amherst died Sunday [3-04] at Kingston of Vermilion nursing home after a short illness. Born in Wakeman, he had been a lifelong resident of Lorain Cnty. He was a member of South Amherst American Legion Post-0888 & of StJohn's United Church of Christ in South Amherst, where he had served on the church council. MrFlew retired in 1977 after 40 years as a heat treater at Parker-Hannifin in Elyria.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Esther; dau: Marcia (sp-James) Taddeo-Elyria; a sis: Irene Hollis-Oberlin; & 2 grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Edith Flew & a sister: Evelyn Baker.
Friends may call Wednesday afternoon [3-07] before service at Bauer Funeral Home-Valley City. Burial will be at Belden Cem in Belden.

SERVICE--[WW-II Enlistment] Clarence Albert Flew enlisted: 12 Aug 1942 in Cleveland; as a Private for the duration of the War or other emergency, plus six months, subject to the discretion of the President or otherwise according to law.
