SOUTH BEND - Francis H. ''Rusty'' Russwurm, 89, of Ridgedale Road, died at 9
p.m. Friday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Russwurm retired in
1974 after 20 years of employment with Bendix Corp. He was born Aug. 14, 1906,
in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident.

On April 13, 1944, in Bethesda, Md., he married Myrtle E. Hamilton. She died on
Dec. 31, 1983. He is survived by two sons, Richard of South Bend and Robert of
Mishawaka; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Russworm was a member of First Brethren Church of South Bend, Scottish Rite
Valley, was a 50-year member of St. Joseph Lodge 45 of Free and Accepted Masons,
and a 50-year member of Avalon Grotto. He was a former Scout master of Troop No.
5 BSA and former skipper of Sea Scouts Troop No. 5 BSA.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call
from noon until services Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may
be made to Humanitarian Fund of the Avalon Grotto.
