Mr. John Edward Crouse, age 76, of 51 Happy Hollow Road, Glade Valley, NC, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, NC. Mr. Crouse was born November 1, 1933 to the late Robert Hortie and Sarah Louella Anderson Crouse. He was also preceded in death by his wife Thelma Robertson Crouse. Mr. Crouse is survived by a daughter, Bernice Crouse Bryant of Glade Valley; two sons, Clyde Edward Crouse and wife Lisa of Glade Valley and John Wayne Royal of Glade Valley; sister, Thelma Crouse of Glade Valley; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 10th at the Grandview Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the family cemetery on Happy Hollow Rd, Glade Valley. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Grandview Memorial Funeral Home and at other times at 51 Happy Hollow Road, Glade Valley, NC.
