US Senator. He served as a United States Senator from Ohio from 1833 to 1839. Also served as a Member of the Ohio State House of Representatives from 1806 to 1808, 1810, and 1820 to 1821, Justice of the Ohio State Supreme Court in 1809, Member of the Ohio State Senate from 1813 to 1815, 1821 to 1823, 1825 to 1829, and 1831 to 1833, and Liberty Candidate for Vice President of the United States in 1844.
