MRS. E. T. WILLCOX DIES IN FLORENCE
Well Known Woman Prominent In Club Work Passes After Week's Illness
MARION - Mrs. Edward T. Willcox of this city died early this morning at the Florence hospital following an illness of about a week.
She is survived by her husband, E. T. Willcox of Marion; her children, Edith Willcox, Margaret Willcox, E. T. Willcox, Jr. and Carolyn Ellerbe Willcox, all of Marion; her mother, Mrs. C. E. Miles of Marion; and her sisters, Mrs. J. A. Stone of Little River, Mrs. D. M. Berry and Mrs. E. D. McClenny of Marion besides a large family connection.
Mrs. Willcox was prominent in club work, being a member of and holding offices in various local women's organizations, and was a woman of considerable literary talent. She was a member of the First Methodist church of this city and was active in religious and missionary works. Hers was a beautiful Christian life and her death is a great loss to the community.
Funeral services and the interment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery at Marion at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
