DAVENPORT — Frank K. Haut, 88, a resident of Davenport, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011, at the Kahl Home for the Aged surrounded, by his son and daughter-in-law.
Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Frank Kenneth Haut was born on May 6, 1923, in Davenport, a son of Fred and Bertha (Kuriger) Haut, Sr. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in Germany and Japan. He was united in marriage to Juliet E. "Betty" Moser on July 10, 1945. Betty preceded him in death on October 31, 2008. They shared over 63 years of marriage.
Frank worked for Montgomery Elevator Company for over 45 years.
Frank was always there to lend a helping hand or share his expertise whenever a member of his family or a friend was in need.
Memorials may be made to the Kahl Home.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lois Haut, Mt. Prospect, Ill.; grandsons and their spouses, David and Rosanne Haut, Cary, Ill., and Greg and DeAnna Haut, Volo, Ill.; great-granddaughters, Olivia, Alexa, Giuliana and Madison Haut; sisters, Jean Keppy, Eldridge, Iowa, Patricia Whitmyer, Florida, and Marjorie Haut McCabe, Bettendorf; and a sister-in-law, Marian Haut, Davenport.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 2008; a daughter, Sheryl "Sherry" Haut, in 2006; his parents; and brothers, Fred Haut, Jr. and Gary Haut. May they rest in peace.
