In the Jan. 30, 1904 paper there was a Memoriam for Mary Holaday Wasson “Grandma” which shows the following: Mary Holaday Wasson was born in Orange County, Indiana March 28, 1819, and was married to A. W. Wasson August 23, 1840. They came to Del Norte in 1877. They celebrated their golden wedding at the Hotel Richardson. A.W. Wasson died Nov. 23, 1900 at the age of 82 years and “Grandma” Wasson lived three years afterward, death claiming her on Dec. 18, 1903 at age 84 years, 8 months, and 20 days. This was signed by Asenath Wasson Hoover.
