Born in York Sept. 29, 1917, he was a son of the late Clarence A. and Janet Wallick Baer.
He leaves his wife, Martha Bentz Baer; a son, Steven Baer of Dallastown; and a sister, Pauline Robinson of York.
There is no viewing or visitation. A memorial service is at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with his pastor, the Rev. Roger Mentzer, officiating, and a flag presentation by the American Legion Post 605.
Burial is private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association/Hospice, 218 E. Market St., York 17403.
