Bob E. Brown

Bob E. Brown, 74, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Friday, November 18, 2011 in a local hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Chattanooga and north Georgia, Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and he attended the Chattanooga Citadel Corp of the Salvation Army. He was retired from Kayo Oil Company with more than 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. and Nora Myers Brown, four sisters and three brothers.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Devona and Ricky Swafford of Ringgold; grandchildren, Josh Swafford and Brittany (Josh) Black; great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Black; brother, Bill Brown of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Captain Joe Mays officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
