Janet grew up in Beloit, Wisconsin before moving with her family to Philadelphia in 1965. After graduating from George Washington High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from Pennsylvania State University and a Master's of Education from Temple University. She then spent 20 years teaching in the Phila. School District before retiring in 1990. Ms. Stacy was involved with Boehm's United Church of Christ in Blue Bell as the church organist. She was a member of the American Organist Guild, The Pennsylvania State Education Assoc. and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. She will always be remembered as a lover and collector of music and literature. She was an accomplished writer, enjoyed traveling in Europe and was a descendent of the Mayflower pilgrims.
