Obituary: Mrs. Robbie Rudd Mayhar, 73, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at her home in Ennis. She was born Oct. 13, 1930 in Navarro County, the daughter of Russell and Virginia Baker Basinger.

She was reared in Rankin and was a graduate of Ennis High School. She then attended real estate school. She was the owner and operator of Ennis Real Estate from 1971 to 1982.

On May 27, 1982 she was married to Albert Mayhar. After their marriage they lived in Ennis, In 1992 they moved to Paris and in 2002 they returned to Ennis. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the American Legion.

She is survived by her husband, Albert, of Ennis; 2 sons, Rodney Rudd of Dallas and Rusty Rudd of Ennis; a daughter, Sandra Rudd Kellar of Dallas; 2 brothers, Wayne Basinger of Elgin, AZ and Ronnie Basinger of Tucson, AZ; 3 sisters, Carol Patterson of Phoenix, AZ, Shirley Raper of Paris and Vickie Osborn of Arlington; 6 grandchildren, Jared, Jessica, John, Cody, Dustin and Russell Rudd; 2 step-grandchildren, Chris Macon and Tammi Fitzgerald; and 4 great grand-children.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Keever Chapel with Rev. Brad Ryder and Rev. Irvin Anthony officiating. Interment will be in the Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
