Elisa Antonia Valdez, 55, died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 11 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church with Fr. William Connor officiating. Burial was in the Del Norte cemetery.
She was born Feb. 4, 1927 to Antonio and Antonia Cruz Sandoval. She married Felix P. Valdez Dec. 1, 1947. She was employed as a nurse’s aide and was a member of Holy Name of Mary Parish.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Frank Elias and Daniel, Del Norte; Victor Antonio, Denver; four daughters, Mary Ann Peterson, Colorado Springs; Bertina Olivia Valdez, Linda Dorsey Valdez, and Gloria Sparks, all of Del Norte; brother, Nemesio Sandoval, Mesa, Arizona; and sister, Frances Martinez, California.
