A memorial service for Patricia J. Aerts, 78, of Manteno, Ill., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24,at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, 291 N. Main St., Manteno. Deacon Patrick Skelly will officiate.
Born Mar. 11, 1930, in Oak Park, the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Krause Michelson, she died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Riverside Medical Center.
She married Edward Aerts on Jun. 23, 1950, at St. Ferdinand Church in Chicago.
Mrs. Aerts had worked part-time as a bank receptionist.
Surviving are her husband of Manteno; one daughter, Tamra (Donald) Gignac of Manteno; one sister, Audrey Coulter of Chicago; one brother, Paul Michelson of Omaha, Neb.; two grandchildren, Jordan Gignac and Jessica Gignac, both of Manteno; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Aerts of Elk Grove Village.
She was preceded in death by one son, Brian Aerts; and one sister, Oween.
Memorials may be made to the ALS Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
