CHILD, 2, DIES AFTER FALL IN TOILET VALULT
Pronounce Death Due To Nephritis And Pneumonia.

Charles Everett Eller, two years of age, son of Mrs. Mary Eller, 608 north Monroe street, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday at the Bloomington hospital, of acute nephritis and pneumonia, believed to have resulted from a general poisoning of his body from a fall into the vault of a toilet. The child was taken to the hospital Thursday, suffering from tonsilitis [sic] and nephritis. After his death an autopsy was performed and physicians pronounced death due to nephritis and pneumonia.

The child fell into the vault several months ago, and it was several minutes before he was rescued. His father, who was ill at the time, succeeded in rescuing him after help had been summoned. The father died on June 15 of this year after having been ill several months. The child was violently ill immediately after the experience and had never been completely well since.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Eller; three brothers, Robert,
Donald and John Edward, and one sister, Luella Mae.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the 11th Street Pentecostal church, in charge of the Rev. Orville Frame. Burial was in Valhalla Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Bobby Burton, Junior Staggs, Kenny Fisher and Earl Campbell, and flower bearers were Ruth Douglas, Elizabeth Newton, Barbara Hendricks and Wilma Bell.
