Bloomfield - Dolores Irene Dixon, 55, of Bloomfield died at 5:08 p.m. June 16, at Davis County Hospital Long-term Care Center.
She was born Nov. 30, 1930, in Drakesville to Carl and Ivah Burkhalter Fitzgerald. She owned and operated Dixon's Next Time Around Shop in Bloomfield. She was a lifetime resident of Davis County and a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church. She married Bob Dixon on Aug. 29, 1948, in Bloomfield.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Brent of El Paso, Texas and Bryan of Sacramento; two grandchildren; her mother, Ivah Fitzgerald of Bloomfield; two brothers, Donald Fitzgerald of Princeton, Ky., and Dean Fitzgerald of Hopkinville, Ky.' and four sisters, Darlene Huggins of Bloomfield, Doris Campbell of Des Moines, Donna Melton of Davenport and Deanna Kimberlin of Pensacola, Fla.
The service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitation is open at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and her church.
