He was born in a little log cabin on the farm where he now resides. It was built by his father in 1846. His parents Joseph and Agnes Meier Klostermann were natives of Oldenburg Germany. Our subject has five sisters and two brothers. Mr. Klostermann was married May 24, 1881 to Miss Catherine Boeckenstedt, a daughter of Clemens and Mary nee Wickman Boeckenstedt. Mr. and Mrs. Klostermann are the parents of five children Joseph, Anna, Francis, Abiline, and Clara. Squires was a justice of the peace in 1892 he was elected Justice of the Peace and could marry and hold court. Secretary of the Mutual Insurance Company and has held that office since 1889. For one year he served as Secretary of the Bear Grove Creamery Company of Breeman Township Delaware County Iowa. In 1892 he was elected Justice of the Peace.
