Ruby Maydelle (Aleshire) Fitzjarrell, born Nov. 7, 1940, in Liberal, Mo., and passed on Nov. 28, 2008, after a long battle with breast and brain cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fitzjarrell in October 1982. Ruby is survived by her five children, Marcus Fitzjarrell, of Chicago, Ill., Millicent Pequignot, of Joplin, Mo., Rosemary Davenport, of Flagstaff, Ariz., Monte Fitzjarrell, of Joplin, and Marcella Bryant, of Glendale, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren, a sister, Viola Cox; two nieces and two grandnephews, of El Paso, Texas. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Southside Bible Baptist Church in Joplin, on March 21, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Joplin Humane Society or to the Susan G Koman Breast Cancer Research Fund in memory of Ruby.
