Josephus L. Haddock, 77, of 217 East Lexington, Independence, died of a stroke yesterday at the Independence hospital. He was born in Charlotte, AR, and moved to Independence 12 years ago from Moverly, MO. Mr. Haddock was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha Haddock of the home, two sons Crigler Haddock 723 Denver , and Dean Haddock, 628 Sunrise, Independence; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Smith, Lead Hill, AR; four brothers, Paten, Sulphur Springs, AR, Edgar, Batesville, AR, Everett, Paragould, AR, and Claude, Arbyrd, MO; a sister Mrs. Van Grady. Dexter, MO; 16 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday at the Shell Chapel. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
