Obituary
Katherine Yost Schwindt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Yost, was born in Norka, Russia March 25, 1869, where she was baptized and confirmed by the Rev. Wm. Sterkel. February 7, 1895 she and Christian Schwindt joined hands in marriage and they came to America in 1899, residing first in Norfolk and coming to Scottsbluff in 1913. Here the deceased was a faithful member of the Emmanuel Congregational Church and also of the ladies aid for many years, as well as of the prayer meeting, attending all as long as her health permitted. Having been intermittently ill for appr. a year, she was confined to bed most of the time since February of this year. March 16 she was taken to a local hospital, where she passed away March 23, 1956 at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and three sons. She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, one sister, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
