FORMER DEFUNIAK LADY BURIED HERE TUESDAY

The remains of Mrs. Landrum Cawthon, who died Sunday at her home at Pensacola after an illness of a long duration, were interred Tuesday in Magnolia cemetery.

Mrs. Cawthon, a daughter of the late C. A. Landrum, for many years a druggist in DeFuniak Springs, was born in Milton, spent her girlhood here and has many old time friends at this place. Immediate surviving relatives include four sisters, Miss Annie Burke Landrum of Pensacola; Mrs. L. F. Eldridge of New Orleans; Mrs. J. G. Crawford of Royalty, Texas; Miss Lonnie Landrum of Rock Hill, S. C.; and one brother, C. A. Landrum, of Panama City.

Mrs. Cawthon served as matron at the State College for Women at Tallahassee for a number of years, and in telling of her life there the Democrat of the state capital had this to say in its Monday issue: Mrs. Sara Landrum Cawthon, who was 16 years matron of the Florida State College for Women here, died yesterday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cawthon will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 in DeFuniak Springs. Miss Mamie Andrews of the College left this morning to attend the services.

Mrs. Cawthon is related by marriage to Ramey Cawthon. [Her remains] were brought here Tuesday for interment, and laid to rest in Magnolia cemetery that afternoon. There was a brief song service at the cemetery.

She was matron at the college from 1919 to 1935.
