STEPHEN SHERWOOD, son of Thomas & Mary (____) Sherwood. was born say 1638.
He married (1) by 1661 Rebecca Turney, daughter of BENJAMIN TURNEY {1639, Concord}.
He married (2) by 1688 Hannah (Jackson) Galpin, daughter of HENRY JACKSON {1635, Watertown} and widow of Philip Galpin (on 9 November 1688, "Stephen Sherwood and Hannah his wife" appeared as administrators of "Philip Galpen deceased' s estate").
He married (3) by an unknown date Mary (Adams) (Guire) Murvin, daughter of Edward Adams and widow of _____ Guire and _____ Murvin. (In his will of 7 August 1671, "Edward Adams" included a bequest to "my daughter Mary Murvin and after her decease to her son Luke Guiwer." The Guire or Guiwer surname is otherwise unrecorded this early and no second husband for Mary is available in the families of MATTHEW MARVIN {1635, Hartford}, REINOLD MARVIN {1638, Hartford} or Miles Merwin of Windsor.)
