Lake View, S.C. - Funeral services are being held for Richard Temple this afternoon at three o'clock.
Richard, who would have been 16 the day after Christmas, died instantly Monday when his 16-guage shotgun discharged accidentally while hunting on the edge of Bear Swamp. He was apparently looking down the barrel when the accident occurred, according to Sheriff J.D. Rogers.
A student at Lake View High School, he was the son of Dr. and Mrs. L. Wade Temple of Lake View. Besides his parents he is survived by a sister, Jennie.
Rites are being conducted at the First Baptist Church here by the pastor Rev. M.M. Summey and Rev. R.E. Moore. Burial follows in Bear Swamp church cemetery.
