Mae is survived by three sons, Harold "Gene" and wife Zelda of Quasqueton, John and wife Janet , and George and wife Cathy, all of Cedar Rapids; son-in-law Marv Findley; grandchildren, Paul Williams, Dawn Husman, Teresa O'Connor, Steve Powers, Carrie Amthauer, Amy Koch, Jenny Gibson, Lisa Powers, Shane Powers, and John Powers; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three sisters; and four brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Powers, and two daughters, Mae Rhene Powers and Frances "Frankie" Findley; two sisters; and one brother.
Mae was born in Neosho, MO to Alma and Henry Church on November 12, 1918. After moving to Cedar Rapids she was employed by Collins Radio, and was an assistant buyer at Killians Company. She belonged to the Eastern Goldfinch Chapter of the ABWA, where she served as President and was honored as Woman of the Year. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
Mae was devoted to her family and loved the time she spent with them. She has left them all with many wonderful memories and valuable lessons to take with them through life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
