Earl Sandman, 81, of Murrayville died Wednesday morning, May 16, 2001 at White Hall Multicare Center in White Hall. He was born on August 27, 1919 in Exeter, the son of Arthur and Ada Story Sandman. He married Maxine Landes on July 14, 1946 in Lynnville and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Brenda (husband, Dean) Havens of Murrayville; one son, Ray (wife, Kaye) Suter of Jacksonville; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Sandman had been a produce manager, working at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store on the square, A. & P. and Jim's Big Value. He later worked at Purity Bakery prior to retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching trap shooting at the Jacksonville Sportman's Club, and watching airplanes.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
