Mr. Sandman had been a produce manager, working at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store on the square, A. & P. and Jim's Big Value. He later worked at Purity Bakery prior to retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching trap shooting at the Jacksonville Sportman's Club, and watching airplanes.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
