Abble G. Vaughn, 99, was bom Dec. 18, 1890, in Oklahoma Territory and died Oct. 24, 1989, at the Good Samaritan Center in Villlsca. The daughter of Wilhelm Dietrich and Margaret Mardis Thuman, she came to Iowa when she was two years old and attended rural Adams County schools through the eighth grade.
On Sept. 27, 1920. she was married to Clyde D. Vaughn at Brooks. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church and Aide Society, the Womens Relief Corps and the Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1967; and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, Elmer Eugene and his wife Donnls of Manhattan, Kan.; three grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 28 at the Sutphen-Beaty Funeral Home in Vlllisca with the Rev. Kevin Glesener officiating. Casket bearers were Jim Thuman, Elmer Watts. Jim Seidler, Marvin Baldwin, Raymond Spring and Carroll Thuman. Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery.
