Gloria M. Huddleston, 85 of Aitkin died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin.

She was born August 29, 1922 in Peetz, CO. to Henry and Anita (Wilkins) Schlueter. She attended schools in Proctor, Colorado and later graduated from Aitkin High School when she was 72 years old. She moved to Sterling, CO. in 1938 and worked in restaurants.

On June 11, 1939 she married Henry Fritzler. They had three children together. She moved to Alliance, NE. in September of 1946 and worked at Montgomery Wards.

On February 28, 1948 in Grand Island, NE. Gloria was united in marriage to Archie M. Huddleston. They lived and worked in Nebraska, Iowa and Texas prior to moving to the Fleming area near Aitkin in 1969.

She was a foster grandparent at Rippleside Elementary and a foster parent to Joyce Mickelson and Catherine Geisler. She was a member of the Methodist Church and active in the Fleming Methodist Church Mission Circle. She served as a Rehab Chairperson for the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by 2 sons and daughter-in-law: Fred Fritzler of Sterling, CO., Jerry (Veta) Fritzler of Sterling, CO., seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; four brothers: Vernon, Edward, and Arnold Schlueter all of New Mexico; Raymond Schlueter of Colorado; 3 sisters: Gwen Fetzer and Marjorie Hradecky both of Colorado and Darlene Blades of New York; Besides many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son William Lee Fritzler in 1964,

her husband Archie in 1991; 3 sisters: Doris Clemens, Erna Knotthouse, and Elizabeth Marx; three brothers: Harold, Adolph, and Ernest Schlueter; and her parents Henry and Anita (Wilkins) Schlueter.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the 11:00A.M, Tuesday, April 29, 2008 funeral service at United Methodist Church, Aitkin. Rev. Judith Clark will officiate.

Burial will be Wayne Cemetery, McIntire, IA. Arrangements are by Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home, Aitkin.

Gloria M. Huddleston, 85 of Aitkin died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin.
