Last Rites held for R. L. Uzee', 61
News of the death in Port Arthur, Tex., of Raymond L. Uzee, 61, native of Lockport, was received in New Orleans Saturday.
Mr. Uzee, who had been employed by the Texas Company in Port Arthur for the past 28 years, died Wednesday of a heart ailment.
He was a veteran of WWI, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He belonged to the Catholic church.
Surviving him are his widow,(Mary Louise Trahan Uzee); three sons, Harold A. and James Uzee, both of Port Arthur, and Raymond Joseph Uzee, a soldier stationed at Fort Polk; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Rodrigue, Mrs. Eves Punch, and Mrs. Joseph Gervais, all of New Orleans, and two brothers, Atney Uzee, Lockport, and Abel Uzee, New Orleans.
Funeral services and burial were conducted in Port Arthur.
