Frances was born June 30, 1916 in Triumph, Minn. After marrying Lester M. Yancy, she moved to Des Moines where she lived for 60 years and was a long-time member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker for her family and enjoyed cooking, polka dancing, playing cards and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester and one son, Alan Yancy of Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Lowell C. (Mary Lou) Yancy of Texas; Roger L. Yancy of Ames; and Timothy J. Yancy of Colorado; her daughter, Elaine E. (Charles) Barber of Texas; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
