SEYMOUR -- Ruby Maxine Watkins, 84, of Jonesville died at 3:05 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
Mrs. Watkins retired from H.O. Canfield. She was a member of Peters Switch Nazarene Church and the church's Helping Hands group.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service with the Rev. Gary Bechtel officiating. Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Uniontown Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Peters Switch Nazarene Church.
Born in Uniontown July 21, 1919, Mrs. Watkins was the daughter of Frank and Sarah Jane Fletcher Bowman. She married Herman Estel Watkins Nov. 22, 1936, in Washington.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Alice Thorneycroft of Columbus; grandchildren, Gregory Thorneycroft of Seymour, Tracy Lankford of Lexington and Melissa Sebahar of Columbus; a sister, Pauline Hagen of Uniontown; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Nov. 27, 1999; brothers, William H. and Ivan E. Bowman; a sister, Della Mae King; and an infant sister.
