Services will be Thursday at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. R.E. Dowden presiding. Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1897 in Clay County, daughter of John and Samantha (Herdes) Burton. She married George Rose, who survives her.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Wood, Olney; a brother, Paul Burton, Dumas, Texas; a sister, Ruth Pillnick, N. Ft. Myers, Fla.; two grandchildren, Lt. Comm, William Wood, Virginia Beach, Va., and Harriet Williams, Pacifica, Ca.; and a great-great-granddaughter.
