Mary Statham Holley, age 80 of Cedartown formerly of Rockmart passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2010.

Mrs. Holley was born on January 30, 1930 in Dekalb County, Alabama, daughter of the late Arthur O. Powell and the late Ethel Stone Powell. She was owner of the Town & Country Beauty Salon for 25 years and was a real estate agent for Buckhead Brokers for 15 years. Mrs. Holley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown and a member of the Doris Gammage WMU Group. She was also a member of the Polk County Historical Society. Mrs. Holley was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. H. R. Powell.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie & James Langford of Rockmart and Lynda & Guy Rutland of Cedartown; son, Mike Statham of Rockmart; step-daughter, Robin Brown of Atlanta; sister, Patsy Payton of Rockmart; brother and sister-in-law, Bill & Jean Powell of Rockmart; sister-in-law, Mildred Powell of Cartersville; and four grandchildren, Kevin Statham, Ashley & Geoff Adamo, Jud & Pam Rutland and Ben & Janet Parks. Five great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Holley will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Cedartown with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment services will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Holley will be taken to the church to lie in state from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Statham, Geoff Adamo, Ben Parks, Jud Rutland, Rick Hall and Steve Catanzano.
