Professional Boxer. Welterweight Champion of the World 1940-1941. He won the Welterweight Championship by upsetting the great Henry Armstrong via 15 round decision in 1940. He fought some of the top fighters of the day including Sugar Ray Robinson, Lew Jenkins, Jake LaMotta, Beau Jack, Bob Montgomery, Tommy Bell, Billy Arnold and Freddie Archer. He finished his boxing career in 1949 with a record of 159-64-9 with 80 ko's. In 1993, 9 years after his death, Zivic was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
