~~*~~Emily married Richard Carr and she gave birth to 9 children under 3 different flags between 1856 & 1875. Emily traveled with Richard to the California gold fields where they had Edith in 1856 and Clara in 1857.They moved back to England where they lost their next 2 sons, William at 4 days in 1861 & John at 2 days in 1862. The family finally settled in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada where she again lost another son, Thomas at less than 5 months in 1865. Her next 4 children born in Victoria were Elizabeth in 1867;Alice in 1869;Emily in 1871 & Richard born in 1875 who was 11 years old when Emily died. She is buried at Ross Bay Cemetery in Victoria.
