RITES READ SATURDAY FOR MRS. ARMSTRONG
Final rites for Mrs. Hattie Bly Armstrong, 79, were read Saturday by the Rev. C.C. Barnes from Macy's Chapel of Flowers, with interment in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Armstrong died Thursday in McMinnville hospital following an illness of nearly three months.
An active worker in the Presbyterian church and in civic life, Mrs. Armstrong was born Aug. 19, 1861, in Waupun, Wis. In 1887 she married Charles Davis Armstrong, who succumbed in 1928. She had resided in McMinnville since 1909.
Surviving are two sons, Manton D. of Pateros, Wn., Vernon B. of Cashmere, Wn., and six grandchildren.
