Abrams, Sheldon E. (Shelly) age 80, loving father of Carol (Dr. Ian) Sachs, Eden (Dr. Jeffery) Muller, Robert E. Abrams and Gabrielle (Ralph) Jacobson, dearest grandfather of Chad, Jade, Ross, Shayna, Aaron, Elliott and Jordan, fond brother of the late Elyse Abrams Givot, beloved longtime companion to Rita Strongin. Shelly served with distinction for 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was the owner of Shelly's Loan Co. for 35 years and served 19 years in the State of Illinois Fire Marshall's office. Shelly was a man of fine character, deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Service Wednesday, 11:30 a.m., at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie. Entombment Rosehill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Assn. Memorial Tributes Program, Dept. 77-3968, Chicago, IL 60678.
