He loved his family very much and enjoyed the time he spent with his wife, children and friends playing foosball in competitions across the country. He was known as The Duke and they called him "John Wayne."
Michael was a loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend. His family and friends will miss him dearly. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Misty Brasseaux Sherrod; his four children, Heather, Tayler, Chandler and Pyper Sherrod; parents, Jerry and Ann Anderson Sherrod; brother and sister-in-law, Paul Sr. and Teresa Sherrod; mother-in-law, Ruth Mincey Manning; father-in-law, Earl Brasseaux Sr.; maternal grandmother, Inez Anderson; his foosball family near and far; and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas L. and Cordelia Sherrod; maternal grandfather, Eugene Maurice Anderson; aunt, Nancy Robinson; nephew, Tyler Brasseaux; and cousin, Tanya Daigle.
Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, until service, officiated by the Rev. Paul Brasseaux. Burial will be at Hebron Baptist Cemetery.
