Arzile P. Anderson, 70, of Longview, died April 17, 1992, at St. John's Medical Center. She was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Franklin, N.C., to Judson and Jane (Pendergrass) Dills, and came to Longview from Franklin in 1956. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Twentieth Avenue Baptist Church. She loved gardening, making quilts and caring for her grandchildren, family and home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gertis Anderson, and a brother, Beachard Dills. Survivors include three sons, Frank Anderson of Ranier, Jerry Anderson of Longview and Jimmy Anderson of Nevada City, Calif.; three daughters, Jane Washington of Oregon City, Ore., Mary Multhaupt of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Geraldine Anderson of Tacoma; three brothers, Marshall Dills, Halen Dills and Teddy Dills, all of Longview; five sisters, Parilee Anderson and Vilamae Maney, both of Franklin, Launa Kell and Betty Miller, both of Kelso, and Beatrice Smith of Waynesburg, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous neices and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Twentieth Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Peters officiatiing. Concluding service and interment will follow at Longview Memorial Park. Columbia Funeral Service is in charge.
