Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) - June 21, 1992. Deceased Name: Frank A. Hammond. Francis (Frank) Asburry Hammond, age 90, passed away at his home on June 18, 1992. Born May 9, 1902 in Moab, Utah to Joseph Heber and Wilhemina Isabella Wright Hammond. Married Ruth Swindle on April 23, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Frank attended schools in Moab and Provo, Utah. Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S.Army. He was purchasing agent for I.M.L. and Six States Distributors for many years. He loved sports, out-of-doors, camping, and fishing. He took great pride in his home and garden. He loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by his wife of 65 years; a son, Frank H. Hammond, Highland, Utah; daughter, Maureen H. Schroeder, Medford, Oregon; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Dilworth Hammond, Dillon Montana; and a sister, Ruth Sorenson, San Antonio, Texas.

Preceded in death by two sisters. Funeral services on Monday, June 22nd, at 12 noon, Crystal Heights 1st Ward, 1970 East Stratford Avenue (2555 South) where friends may gather 10:45-11:45 am. Burial will be in Sandy, Utah at the Larkin Sunset Gardens under direction of Larkin Mortuary.
