GULFPORT -- Wilburn Wade Hampton, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, in Gulfport.
Mr. Hampton was a native of Urich, Mo., and had been a resident of Gulfport since 2000. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and received five awards.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Cloud Hampton; two daughters, Margaret Kersten of Wittenberg, Wis., and Barbara Sexton of Wichita Falls, Texas; a son, Rodney W. Hampton of Round Rock, Texas; two brothers, Louis Hampton of Normandy, Tenn., and Leonard Hampton of Sandwich, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday in the Chapel of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport. Burial will be in Cherokee Village Cemetery in Cherokee Ariz Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport is handling arrangements.
