Edward was a son of Henry Forler (1847-1918) and Emilia Lantz (1851-1927). He was born in the village of Phillipsburg in Wilmot Twp; in 1882.

At the age of 24 he married Emma C. Lassow on Feb. 07, 1906 in Berlin in Waterloo County.

Carl, Jack, William & Irene.

Edward died at the age of 77 years and 22 days.
