Kraig Richard McGrew
A Liberty township youth was killed in a one-car crash on Ind. 25, two miles south of Fulton, Sunday at 12:30 a.m. Dead is Kraig Richard McGREW, R.R. 6, Rochester, the driver of the auto. State police said he died of a fractured neck, a crushed chest and multiple internal injuries. McGrew's auto was northbound when it went out of control on a curve near Caston high
school, skidded 61 feet and smashed broadside into a tree on the west side of the highway, police said. Police said the impact sheared the auto in half and the front of the car came to rest 53 feet north of the tree and the rear of the car was found 16 feet south of the tree.
McGrew was the third traffic fatality in Fulton county this year. Damage was $1,200 to the auto and $300 to the front lawn of Roy MASTERSON, R.R.
6, Rochester.
Born Nov. 25, 1954, McGrew was the son of Robert and Nellie GAULT McGREW, who survive, and a lifetime resident of the ara. He was employed by McGrew Well Drilling and rcently formed a partnership in the operation of K&K Carpet Specialties of Fulton.
Surviving with the parents are two brothers, Ken [McGREW[, Twelve Mile, and Keith [McGREW], R.R. 6, Rochester; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Glen (Dode) McGREW, R.R. 1, Macy, and one nephew.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Fulton United Methodist church with the Revs. Thomas BOWMAN and Robert CAHOON officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home and at the church one hour prior to the services.
