From the SOUTH BEND (IN) TRIBUNE, March 23, 1995:

SOUTH BEND - Ralph E. Simcox, 77, of Roelke Drive, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in his home. Mr. Simcox retired in 1982 from Torrington Co. and was employed by Studebaker Corp. for 24 years. He was born April 18, 1918, in South Bend.

On Nov. 1, 1947, in South Bend, he married Mildred E. Savage. She survives with a daughter, Sharon Rapp of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; a son, Gary of South Bend; three grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Slisz of South Bend. He was a member of Torrington Retirees and was a tour guide for the Studebaker National Museum. He was a veteran of World War II and received the Silver Star.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
