He retired from Birmingham Fire and Rescue with over 25 years of service. He then served with Pell City Fire and Rescue for six years. He was a Colonel in the Alabama State Defense Force and was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Olive.
Survivors include wife of 27 years, Darlene Robbins; daughters, Lisa Tucker (Ray) and Amy Robbins-Briscoe (Clint); grandchildren, Amelia Tucker and Tripp Tucker; brothers, Jack Robbins and Fred Robbins; sister, Mae Isehower.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 11:00 am at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Steve Sellers officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel.
