Melissa Sharon Floyd, of London, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky, at the age of 44. She was born in Indiana on December 3, 1966, to Frances Fryman Stubbs and the late Floyd Stubbs. She was a desk clerk at the Budget Host Hotel, in London. At the time of her passing, she was a member of Salem Methodist Church, in Sadieville, Kentucky.
She is survived by: her husband, Winford Floyd; a daughter, Tisha Stubbs, of London; a son, Billy Floyd, of London; two sisters, Kim Parr, of Corinth, Kentucky, and Madeline Walker, of Georgetown, Kentucky; a brother, Greg Stubbs, of Cynthiana, Kentucky; and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, in the chapel of McDaniel Funeral Home, in Corinth, with Rev. Steve Wilkerson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Raven Creek Cemetery, in Harrison County, Kentucky.
