Sister of Percival C. Barnes Jr., Clara Barnes Zelle, Harriet Barnes Berg, and Tracy W. Barnes.
She was an occupational therapist in St Louis, MO and always brought disabled children who were hospitalized to family holiday dinners. She and her sister followed the family love of children and animals. They moved to the suburbs and built a Frank Lloyd Wright home where they raised French Poodles as a hobby. They had peacocks roaming the property, raising chickens was another interest they had. When they were girls they had a pet monkey.
My fondest memories of my twin aunts was the love and hospitality they showered on their family of brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. They had many friends of all generations...loved to keep up on what the younger generation was into. They had many charities in which they were active. They loved to keep my children for the weekends and if I hadn't called to say we had plans and could the children come visit? an aunt would telephone me to ask if the children could come and stay. They also would dog sit for my yorkshire Terrier when I could not take her on a trip. They both loved to garden. It is easy to say they were active.
