Fred Charles Falk, 85, died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital in Del Norte. He was born Feb. 16, 1903 in Del Norte, Colorado to Charles H. and Catherine Davie Falk.
He worked at the Reid Bakery and Donnen Pharmacy while attending school. After graduation, he and his brother, Lester, began farming on the family ranch, renaming it Bonnie Vale Farm. He continued working on the ranch until his death. Mr. Falk was active in local farming and ranching activities for over sixty years and found much pleasure in his love of the Twin Mountain area, its wildlife and trout stocking.
He was a member of Knights of Pythias; an elder in the Presbyterian Church and a grand marshall one year for the Del Norte Covered Wagon Days.
Surviving are his brother, Lester Falk; sister, Lillian Underwood; and two nieces, Patty and Evelyn Underwood.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Pioneer United Church with Rev. Patricia Pabst officiating.
