J. Sumpter Eakin, 85, died Saturday in a Richmond hospital.
He lived at 713 11th Street and, was a retired employee of St A1bans Hospital.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Carl H. Carper, Athens. W. Va.; Mrs. Lucien D. Adams Richmond; Mrs. Frank E. Barber, Radford; also six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at Seaver Sanders Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Burial Park. In lieu of flowers the family wishes gifts to be made to the building fund of the Grove Ave. United Methodist Church. Friends, may call at Seaver-Sanders Funeral Home.
