Junius Acosta, 77, a resident of Stephensville passed away Thursday September 22, 2011 at his home.

He was a commercial fisherman who loved hunting. He was a dedicated Christian and family man who loved going to church.

Junius is survived by his three daughters, Barbara Businelle and her husband, Gary, of Patterson, Jackie Brown and her husband, Ronald, of Stephensville, and Laura Riley and her husband, Dewey, of Stephensville; three brothers, Lenard Acosta and his wife, Ella Mae, Jerry Acosta and his wife, Dee Dee, Wilson Acosta and his wife, Fedora; 3 sisters, Aline Bertrand and her husband, Jerome, Diane Soileau and her husband, Harris, and Gertrude Prestenback and her husband, Pete; 10 grandchildren 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ella Marie Gaudet Acosta; his son, Rickey Acosta; his parents, William Bill Acosta and Aline Landry Acosta Richard; his brother, Dewit Lamb, and his sister, Doris Acosta and one great grandson, Sparrow Businelle, and one great granddaughter, Shanda Businelle..

The family requests that visitation be observed Sunday, Sept 25, 2011 from 6-10pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume at Hargrave Funeral Home on Monday Sept 26th at 8am until time of funeral services at 12 Noon. Graveside services will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
